Communication war between Washington and Ankara over CAATSA sanctions

It was to be expected, the announcement of the implementation of sanctions against Turkey on the acquisition of the S-400 systems from Moscow as part of the CAATSA legislation henceforth gives rise to a real war of communication between Ankara and Washington, by announcements and declarations interposed. Recall that the main measure announced by the State Department in this case is based on the suspension of all licenses for the export and use of American defense equipment to Turkey, until the S-400 have been definitively withdrawn from the Turkish inventory, and this under the supervision of the United States itself.

Ankara's first reaction was to dump a flood of announcements to show the dynamism of the Turkish Defense industry, which is touted to be 80% self-sufficient by the country's authorities today. Thus in a few days, many announcements, concerning in particular a new turbine for helicopter, but also about new surface-to-air missiles, were made, mainly aimed at Turkish public opinion, as well as the country's diaspora, very active in support of the President Erdogan, especially in Europe.
