Can Turkish Industry take over from US sanctions?

While the United States Department of State, under pressure from Congress, has just set up a first set of sanctions against Ankara about the acquisition of the S-400 systems from Moscow, Turkish communications are increasing to demonstrate that the country is able to bypass these sanctions, and quickly develop and implement your own alternative solutions. Latest announcement, barely a few hours after the American announcement, the state company Tusas Engine Industries announced that it had delivered for testing a new turbine for helicopter designated TS1400, and intended to replace the LHTEC CTS8000 turbines on the Gobkey domestic medium helicopter program.

Ankara had already applied the same strategy a few weeks ago, announcing just hours after the Canadian Bombardier announced the suspension of the export licenses of its Rotax engines that equip the TB2 Bayraktar drones, the development of a new aeronautical engine which, again, could take over from the Rotax. A few weeks earlier, it was L15Harris' MX-3D optronic ball which, once put under embargo by its manufacturer, saw the emergence of a local alternative, the Aselsan CATS.
