If the significant dynamism of the Chinese defense industry, primarily for the benefit of its own forces, most of the defense news concerning the country, it is not the only major development concerning the operational capabilities of the People's Liberation Army. Thus, the latter undertook an in-depth organic and structural transformation, Creating combined combined arms battalions, units on the scale of a battalion (1000 to 1500 men) bringing together all the forces necessary for autonomous military action: armored assault vehicles such as tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, artillery, engineers, light aviation , reconnaissance, transmission and maintenance to name only the main ones of the 12 weapons integrated into these units.

This architecture must allow military units to carry out optimized combined operational actions, having all the means necessary to achieve this. It not only allows to bring these capacities together on the battlefield, but to make them into a clean organic structure, training and evolving together. While the tempo of the action military is accelerating more and more, this architecture makes it possible to respond in a unified manner, like, for example, the operation of different specialties on board a combat ship.
