Against coronavirus, French company Shark Robotics offers the authorities a decontamination robot

Founded in 2016, the company Shark Robotics based in La Rochelle is already well known to the armed forces and the general public. While the use of terrestrial robots (or UGV) is more and more studied by the Army, the police or the customs services, Shark Robotics' productions have been evaluated in recent years by the main players in the sector. Thus, in addition to a BARAKUDA mule drone intended for transporting infantrymen's equipment, Shark Robotics also offers the ATRAX demining robot. But it is truly the intervention of the COLOSSUS robot with the Paris firefighters during the Notre-Dame de Paris fire that Shark Robotics' productions made themselves known to the greatest number.

Today, as the country is going through an unprecedented health crisis, the SME in La Rochelle has undertaken to rapidly develop a versatile teleoperated decontamination solution, specifically designed to help contain the coronavirus crisis. For this, Shark Robotics has transformed its small fire safety robot RHYNO PROTECT and adapted it to the specifics of this new mission.
