Russian specialists in electronic warfare from the Central military district have managed, according to an article by the TASS agency, to develop an architecture making it possible to make a given area opaque to electromagnetic waves. In concrete terms, the system would be able to prohibit all electromagnetic communications, including satellites, making the area impractical for drones, cruise missiles, IEDs and aircraft. The system can also neutralize, if necessary, the communications of the infotainment services of the battlefield, such as the French SCORPION system.
