US Air Force seeks advanced trainer in addition to new T-7A Red Hawk

Does the US Air Force remember the hard lessons learned during the Vietnam War, when its young pilots freshly graduated from the academy were shot down by the DCA or the North Vietnamese pilots for lack of combat experience? ? The fact is, barely 3 years after awarding an almost $ 10bn contract to Boeing and Saab to design and build its new T-7A Red Hawk advanced trainer to replace its breathless and obsolete T-38 Talon, it just released a request for information to acquire a hundred advanced training aircraft to train its pilots in aerial combat and weapon missions, where the T-7A is primarily intended to train student pilots in piloting and avionics.
