North Korea presents plethora of new armored vehicles for its 75th anniversary

North Korean armies have always had a reputation for being heavily equipped with severely obsolete equipment. And the inventory of its armored fleet, which is mainly based on Soviet and Chinese productions from the 60s and 70s such as the T62 and the BTR-60, helped perpetuate this perception, even if the North Korean engineers had been able to make the most of it. of these platforms in modernized versions produced locally like the Pokpung-ho tank derived from the T-62 or the armored personnel carrier M-2010 derived from the BTR-80. But on the occasion of the Military Parade marking the 75th anniversary of the creation of the People's Republic of North Korea, Pyongyang surprised many observers by presenting a new generation of armor and equipment still little or not known, presenting marked similarities with the most modern armored vehicles of Russian, Chinese, and even Western industry.
