While the US Congress is far from favorable to allow the sale of F35A fighter jets to the United Arab Emirates, and this despite the tacit agreement of the American President and the Israeli Prime Minister during the negotiations around the normalization of relations between Israel and Abu Dabi, it is the turn of Doha to enter the ball, by submitting a formal and official request from the American authorities to acquire the new Lockheed fighter plane.
However, this request has little chance of success, as it would provoke important reactions in the Middle East, as in the American Congress. If the United States maintains excellent relations with Qatar, President Trump having even expressed the wish to integrate the country into the very closed lists of non-NATO allies of the United States, the small gas emirate is far from '' be popular with his neighbors, in particular vis-à-vis Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which criticizes Doha for being far too conciliatory vis-à-vis Tehran, among other things.
