Japan grants leasing offer to Vietnam to finance 6 patrol boats

Leasing has become, in recent months, a very popular mode of financing for the acquisition of Defense equipment, and in particular for export files. Thus, Japan has just finalized a financing offer by leasing however on 6 armed patrol boats for an amount of 36,6 billion Yen, or 345 million dollars.

It is the Japanese International Cooperation Agency which carries the financing offer signed on July 28 by the Vietnamese authorities in Hanoi, which naturally relates to 6 patrol vessels which will be manufactured in the Japanese shipyards. The ships are intended for the Vietnamese coast guards, who increasingly have to deal with intrusions from fleets of fishing vessels from China, sometimes escorted by Chinese coast guard vessels. several incidents between Chinese fishermen and Vietnamese authorities have already taken place in recent years.
