Ukraine to the aid of NATO

The Ukrainian company Antonov Airlines announced that it would be able to provide enough additional resources of the An124 wide-body aircraft for fill the withdrawal of the Russian company Volga-Dnieper from SALIS, NATO's strategic transport service.

The Russian company has in fact announced that it will no longer provide services for NATO and Western armies, from the end of 2018. However, these aircraft provided a significant part of the logistics transport needs of the NATO, but also French forces, engaged in the Levant and Mali.

Once again, Ukraine, and its aeronautical industry, shows that it represents an important partner for the West, which nevertheless has a rather disdainful attitude towards it. Thus, a few days ago, it was Turkey, certainly still a member of NATO, but for how long, which announced a strategic partnership with Antonov for the design and manufacture of the An188, a strategic transport of 200 t, halfway between the A400M and the C17, a few examples of which would certainly have their place in the inventories of European air forces...
