In the event of a conflict, in particular a major conflict, the American armies can rely on certain legislative provisions to increase their respective fleets, and thus meet growing needs, particularly in terms of logistics. This is the case of the US Air Force, which has agreements and procedures with the major American airlines, which constitute a reserve of commercial increases that can be mobilized as needed. A similar device, although much less extensive, exists for the US Navy. It is by taking inspiration from these devices that the newly created US Space Force intends to rely on the immense fleet of American commercial satellites, to reinforce, extend or even supplement the existing American military satellites or those in the process of being deployed.
