Pyongyang is reportedly set to deploy a contingent of 12.000 North Korean troops, mostly special forces, to Russia, according to information provided by South Korean intelligence to the Yonhap News agency.
North Korea has been, since the beginning of the conflict, Moscow's most loyal ally in its special military operation against Ukraine, first by providing large quantities of munitions, then ballistic missiles, and now troops.
Although representing only a tiny part of the 700.000 Russian soldiers engaged in this conflict, the involvement of North Korea is part of a broader movement, intended to wear down Ukrainian resistance, but also American support for Kyiv, in a Russo-Korean military alliance that appears much more solid than previously envisaged.

Presence of North Korean soldiers in Donbass revealed by Ukrainian intelligence services
For several weeks, reports from Ukraine had been indicating the presence of North Korean soldiers, alongside Russian forces, near the line of engagement. However, in the absence of documented evidence, and confirmation by some Western services, the information left many observers skeptical.
Ten days ago, however, the hypothesis took on a much more credible dimension. Indeed, the South Korean Minister of Defense, Kim Yong-hyun, confirmed before the deputies of the Gukhoe, the South Korean Parliament, the death of several North Korean soldiers, killed in a Ukrainian artillery strike in the Donbass.
However, here again, the information was purely declarative. And even if the South Korean intelligence services and the Ministry of Defense are known for their efficiency, as well as their reserve, it was difficult to give credence, without more information, to the assertions that appeared in the Ukrainian press on this subject, announcing, among other things, the imminent massive arrival of North Korean troops in Russia, to come and fight in Ukraine.
South Korean intelligence services confirm, with supporting documents, the arrival of 1500 members of North Korean special forces in Vladivostok on August 13
From the status of a possible but poorly supported hypothesis, this statement has just moved to the status of a solid and very probable statement, following the revelations obtained by the South Korean news agency, Yonhap News, from South Korean intelligence services.
With supporting photos, the agency shows that a transfer of 1500 soldiers belonging to the North Korean special forces, were carried out from August 8 to 13, to the Russian port of Vladivostok, from the North Korean ports of Cheongjin, Hamheung and Muda. The transport was carried out by four landing ships escorted by three surface units, all belonging to the Russian Pacific Fleet.

@ Dominique Mauger,
Some of your thoughts could have been interesting (lack of Western support for Ukraine, variable geometry policies of Western powers, even if the example chosen of Israel is not the right one, difficulties in reviving the arms industry) if they were not drowned among all your nonsense and the propaganda that you peddle.
Where did you find that Russia produces in a month what the rest of Europe produces in a year?
I guess you're talking in terms of production of military aircraft, warships...
And where does Russia save anything and anyone with an economy entirely focused on war to the detriment of everything else, tens of thousands of soldiers killed, and an even greater number of wounded? In terms of "economy", we do better. Or maybe it was second degree on your part...
Regarding corruption, I thought at first that you were talking about Russia. There is probably some in Ukraine too, but probably less and less because of the control exercised by donors over how their aid is used. Ukraine is forced to a certain virtue, which is not the case in Russia. Those who are under Putin's thumb, as long as they serve him slavishly, enrich themselves shamelessly on the backs of the rest of the Russian population, whose fate seems to interest you little.
As for the foreign instructors who were fired or the "mercenaries" sent by NATO, we are in the midst of delirium or pro-Russian propaganda.
Choose more credible sources, like this site, abandon this grotesque propaganda, and maybe you can become credible.
If all this were to prove factual, we would have two nuclear powers with significant and growing resources facing a country that is drained of blood, without human resources, eaten away by corruption and various forms of trafficking, which abandoned its nuclear arsenal in exchange for the promise of benefiting from the protection of its supporters at the time... and allies unable to keep their promises at the time and paralyzed by their inability to reindustrialize before even imagining moving to a war economy.
Russia wins by "saving" its resources, stockpiling at the same time and massively developing its BITD with a huge advantage compared to WW2... it doesn't need anyone to produce more each month than the entire European BITD in a year.
And its electronic components, although less efficient, when they are not produced locally, are imported from its strategic partner which, incidentally, also produces them for the EU/NATO agreement.
Mass wins over quality!
If we add to this that historically, Russian electronics are, by design, much more rustic and do not require "stanagized" components, I do not see an honorable way out for Ukraine and its allies.
And our politicians are tied hand and foot to send ground troops because they would become legitimate targets. Remember the recent US and Swedish councils that were dismissed or the "mercenaries" provided by NATO countries.
Countries which discredit themselves by condemning Russian military practices which they encourage for the Zionist state.
On the subject of the Russian economy, I invite you to consult this recent article from the Moscowtimes, concerning the statements of the president of Rostec: https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2024/10/23/bolshinstvo-predpriyatii-stanut-bankrotami-glava-rosteha-predupredil-obugroze-kollapsa-rossiiskoi-promishlennosti-a145698
It is time to apply a principle of reciprocity, send 12 NATO troops to Ukraine to ensure the security of the rear borders and relieve the Ukrainians. It is unbearable to see day after day that totalitarian countries act for the disorder of the world.
