If Brussels' choice of the F-35A to replace its F-16 planes had caused a lot of reaction in France, even though the Rafale had not been officially presented in the competition, the Belgian authorities had nevertheless amply demonstrated their commitment in favor of a strategic partnership with France, through of the CAMO contract in 2018 relating to 442 armored vehicles VBMR Griffon and EBRC Jaguar of tricolor invoice, as well as by entrusting in 2019 to the French Naval Group and to its Belgian partner ECA the design and manufacture of 6 new generation mine warfare vessels. The Belgian Armies will also receive another material designed by the French, the truck equipped with an artillery system better known by the acronym CAESAR.
