Traditionally, armored vehicles used by the US Army were designed for use in Europe, as well as the Middle East. This objective imposed certain constraints, in particular in terms of dimensions and mass, so that European rail transport, and in particular tunnels, but also road bridges. In concrete terms, vehicle designers were required to be able to use 80% of the road bridges present in Europe. But today, the European Theater represents less and less the first priority of the American armies, giving way to the Indo-Pacific Theater.
