Israel reportedly anticipates US strike on Iran before Donald Trump's term ends

Is this a way to try to contain a possible response from Tehran following the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, this scientist designated as being the father of the Iranian nuclear program, shot dead on November 28 in the suburbs of Tehran by an armed commando team while he was moving on the highway, assassination attributed to the Israeli secret services by Tehran? Anyway, according to the Israeli news site Axios, citing statements from officials of the Hebrew state, the Israeli armed forces would anticipate, in the weeks to come and before the end of President Trump's presidential term, US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

According to the site, although the Israelis know that they will be warned as a priority of such an American initiative, the deadlines may be too short to control the conflagration that such strikes could generate in the Middle East, and in particular in the Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip. It is therefore necessary for the Israeli armed forces to prepare for such an eventuality, even if, officially at least, they have not been informed of any US initiative in this direction, either directly or via their intelligence services.
