Donald Trump wants to speed up military programs before Joe Biden's inauguration

Traditionally, the period between the presidential election and the nomination, and which is particularly long in the United States since it lasts more than 2 months, is devoted to the handing over of key issues between the two administrations, so as not to not create a cut in the management of the country. But Donald Trump is not traditional. We will not come back to the allegations of fraud on which the President-in-Office wants to base his legal remedies, in matters of domestic policy. On the other hand, it appears that, whatever the results of these appeals, the president in office for another 2 months until January 20, 2021, intends to impose certain files which he considers as critical, and in particular in the military field.

According to the confidences of relatives of President Trump obtained by the American site, the latter wishes to validate by Congress, and in particular the Senate still under the control of the Republicans, the 2021 army budget, and this before January 20, under the nose and beard of Joe Biden. In particular, he wishes to record the increase in the appropriations of the US Navy to start the navy 2045 program, aimed at having, by this date, a fleet of 500 combat units, including nearly 200 robotic or small-crew units, an objective that the president considers essential to be able to stand up to the rise of Chinese naval forces in the years to come.
