As every year, the American Defense news site Defensenews.com published its ranking of 100 largest global defense companies. The top 5 global defense companies are, of course, still American, led by Lockheed-Martin, followed by Boeing, General Dynamics, Northon-Grumman and Raytheon.
China consolidates its second place with 2 companies placed in the Top 10, and 7 companies in the ranking, distributed between 6th and 24th place. For the most part, they have shown strong growth since 2019, between 20 and 35%, revealing the extreme dynamism of Chinese domestic orders, and growing success on the international scene. The British BAe is the only “European” in the ranking to reach the Top 10, ranking 7th in the ranking, while the European Airbus is downgraded from 9th to 12th position, following a drop in turnover. ”Of the order of 14%. The Italian Leonardo (13th) and the French Thales (16th) are, with Airbus, the only representatives of the European Union in the Top 20.
