In turn, Russia presents its self-propelled gun "Caesar-like"

Coco Channel used to say that success was measured by the number of copies. According to this precept, the French Nexter teams who designed the CEASAR self-propelled gun can be proud of themselves! Because after Japan, India, China, Israel and United States, it's Russia's turn to present a model very inspired by the French concept, the Malva. Mounted on an 8 ร— 8 BAZ-6010 chassis, the Malva, designed by the Burevestnik Central Research Institute of the manufacturer Uralvagonzavod, is much closer to the heavy Caesar than to the original model, in the purest model of Russian industry.

Mentioned for the first time in October 2019 as part of the Nabrozok project (Sketch in Russian), the self-propelled gun 2S43 Malva is equipped with a 2mm 65A152 gun and 47 calibers (length of the tube expressed in relation to the caliber of the gun, i.e. 47x152mm = 7,15 meters), equipping in particular the 2S19 Msta self-propelled gun, and displaying a range, all in all modest, 30 km with shells with additional propulsion. It would offer a rate of fire of 8 rounds per minute thanks to a new loading system, and would have modern aiming devices and information systems. Like all systems in the Nabrozok program, the Malva is air-transportable, although it seems obvious that a large device is needed to move such a vehicle.
