The 25 last march, Boeing announced that it ceased production of airliners at its various production sites in the Puget Sound area, near Seattle. After three weeks of closure, the line of the Pegasus in Everett and the Poseidon in Renton were relaunched this morning, with reinforced health measures to ensure the safety of employees. The relaunch of defense activities has in fact been considered a matter of national security, the government having requested that the coronavirus epidemic not stop the United States defense effort. At the end of March, USAF acquisition manager Will Roper declared that the pause in KC-46 production should not exceed one month, otherwise it would cause serious logistical problems for the USAF in the long term. .
