The US Air Force and Boeing have started operational testing of the new helicopter operational support: the MH-139A Gray Wolf. Designed by the Italian Leonardo and manufactured in collaboration with Boeing in the Leonardo Helicopters factory on the American East Coast, this aircraft derived from the AW.39 model was acquired in 84 units in order to replace the latest Bell UH-1N Twin Huey of the USAF.

Above all, from a symbolic point of view, it underlines the absence of the American aeronautical industry on the gigantic UH-1 replacement market, including its own territory!
