This was obviously to be expected. The German Naval Yards Kiel (GNYK) industrial group, TKMS partner in the competition to design and manufacture the heavy frigates of the MKS 180 program for the German Navy, refereed in favor of the offer of the Dutch shipyards Damen associated with the German group Blohm + Voss, has announced that it will challenge this decision in court. TKMS being in competition with Naval Group and a partnership between Damen and the Swedish Saab for the replacement of the Walrus submarines of the Royal Dutch Navy, it therefore appears unlikely that it will join this action, this explaining that it is its partner, GNYK, belonging to the Holding Privinvest which also owns, among other things, the French shipyards CMN, which alone leads the legal and media charge.
