In June 2018, the US Marines Corps entrusted the British BAe with the design and manufacture of its next Amphibious Combat Vehicle, or ACV, used to accompany landing craft during amphibious assaults, the primary function of this corps. While production has already started, at a deliberately low rate, tests continued to determine the improvements to be made to the armored vehicle.

In a relayed press release by the defense-blog site, the Marine Corps expresses its satisfaction with the ACV, which has given very good results during these tests, in particular during the tests at sea. In fact, the division of the program can be accelerated, and the body will will save costly procedures for modifying armored vehicles already delivered, or in production runs.

At the same time, the Marines Corps announced that it wanted to have 3 versions of its new ACV: a command version, a logistical support version, and an infantry combat version, equipped with a 30 mm cannon, the image of the US Army Strikers.
