A portable rapid reconnaissance system soon in service in Russian forces

Russian units will soon receive a light and very clever recognition system. On the model of the rocket pistols, the infantrymen will be able to launch using a pistol of 300 gram, a rocket propelling at an altitude of 300 meters a high definition camera attached to a parachute, to slow down its descent. The video signal is retransmitted to a control screen, making it possible to observe the surrounding tactical situation. 

This system is a simple and inexpensive alternative to mini-reconnaissance drones, with the additional advantage of being insensitive to anti-drone weapons. We can easily imagine the benefit of such a device in urban combat, or in very uneven terrain.
