Since the beginning of the 2010s, announcements concerning new technologies with military potential by China and Russia follow one another, to the point that sometimes, it can be estimated that the West would no longer have the technological advantage that was during the Cold War at the heart of its Defense strategy. But many voices are raised to question the veracity of these announcements, leaving the doubt of a great bluff.
In a decade, Russia and China have shown a real voluntarism in terms of Defense program, with the so-called 5th generation J-20 and Su-57 planes, the new generation armored vehicles T-14 or T-99, the S400 / 500 and HJ16 anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems to name a few. At the same time, the military means of these two countries have been considerably modernized and strengthened, to the point where they now represent a serious threat to the Western headquarters. But it is the announcements concerning cutting-edge research programs that today worry and question.
