The HMS OCEAN LHD is sold to Brazilians after only 23 years of service

The helicopter carrier assault ship HMS Ocean has been the flagship of the Royal Navy for almost 20 years. He was withdrawn from service to be sold to Brazil with the arrival of the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth,for an amount of £ 84,3 million. The 21.000-ton vessel is capable of projecting 400 men as well as a dozen helicopters of all types. It will significantly strengthen the capabilities of the Brazilian Navy after the latter's decision to withdraw the aircraft carrier Sao Paolo (Ex Clemenceau) from service.
